Lower Limbs

The rotator

This piece is placed between the socket and knee. It allows through the simple push of a button to rotate the lower part of the prosthesis on itself.
This facilitates its installation in cars, while donning trousers and shoes, while in a sitting, postion.
Because of its size (3.5 cm) it may not be offered to people with a long stump for aesthetic reasons: so that the knees are aligned  while seated.

Torsion Absorbers

This piece is placed between the knee and foot. It reduces the torsional stress applied to the residual limb during walking. As for the tibial prosthesis, the absorber will be especially appreciated when shuffling and walking in a confined space.
The shock absorber adds a little weight distally to the prosthesis.

The scarf prostheses

The  scarf prostheses helps to put in place the femoral contact prosthesis .
You put the scarf over the prosthetic limb, the patient puts the stump into the socket. The scarf  is extracted through the hole of the valve thanks to a link allowing the stump to be set into the bottom of the socket.
The implementation is faster and less aggressive to the skin than with a piece of jersey or an elastic strap.
Energy expenditure for the floor prosthesis is greatly diminished.

The "slipper"

A prosthesis slipper in synthetic fabric.
Effective but somewhat fragile: the thread is easily unraveled.

The "fitting bag"

Scarf prosthesis in parachute silk. "
Effective and relatively strong.

Adjustable BRIO 30 ankle

The ankle joint allows easy adjustment from 0 to 30 mm of heel.
It is simple to use and can be placed on a tibial or femoral prosthetic above any type of foot.
Its main drawback is its weight: 390 gr.

The low parts coverings

Lower parts in  PVC

The lower  PVC cover completely covers the prosthesis and are glued onto the top edge of the socket.

The colour is uniform and is chosen according to skin colour of the person.

The toes are represented on the bottom.

They stain easily especially on the contact with the shoe (the shoe dye fuses into the material) and they are quite heavy. PVC ages poorly over time.

Lower "DAW skin (polyurethane paint)

This also covers the bottom completely and the prosthesis is glued onto the top edge of the socket.

The uniform colour is chosen from a range of colour, they can be chosen with or without toes.

They are less solid than the previous ones: when in the presence of a dynamic foot they tend to shear off at the back of the ankle. However, the colour remains stable because they do not stain and are lightweight.

"PROCOSIL" ® cosmetic coating

Lower cover in silicone, polychrome, made from copying photos with a personalized coloring and nuanced appearence. It is suitable for feet with energy release because it is reinforced in stress areas. It has very good reliability over time but is still quite expensive. An option exists with a separate big toe and even an option with hair.

"Dorset" ®  Cosmetic coating

The Dorset lower cover are made by copying the model of the other leg, in either monochrome or polychrome.

This coating replaces the initial foot cover and allows for a really perfect cosmetic foot.

Moreover, this coating is very robust.
