Type B Knees:

Secure locking in the stance phase, control of the swing phase.


3R46 (Otto Bock)

Polyaxial Knee  with hydraulic swing phase. Very robust with a very safe geometry, it enables the fitting of heavy people. Its compactness in the socket makes it suitable for longer stumps.


3R72 (Otto Bock)

Polyaxial knee with pneumatic regulation of the  swing phase. Lightweight and flexible, it suits low-dynamic people walking at a moderate pace.


3R105 / 106 (Otto Bock)

Polyaxial knee  with pneumatic swing phase, with recall to extension, its body is light alloy and its low weight makes it attractive for smaller people . 3R106 version allows it to fit longer stumps.


3R92 (Otto Bock)

This completely new knee is the big brother of 3R90. Monoaxial with dual articulation  to assure a locking upon loading, it unlocks when the load is applied to the forefoot. It has a pneumatic control of the swing phase for more dynamic patients.


ESK-PSPC (Endolite)

Monoaxial knee with a single piece frame in carbon, its articulation contains a drum brake which provides progressive locking in function of the applied load, and adjustable sensitivity. The heel strike on the ground is dampened by the Stanceflex system through the effect of compression of the shock absorber that adds comfort. An efficient and reliable air cylinder controls the swing phase. It's a lightweight knee, flexible, pleasant and safe, more reliable in its latest version. It is suitable for people of average activity.


IP PLUS (Endolite)

It is a development of the ESK-PSPC, whose difference lies in the pneumatic unit and is managed by a microprocessor for flexion strength, and it can be programmed through a supplied box, for five walking speeds . This knee has the potential to change the walking pace.

Knee Type B "evolution":

These knees have the effect of preflexion: That is the flexion limited to a few degrees during heel strike on the ground. This effect mimics the natural physiological movement avoiding the shock on impact, increases safety by moving the ICR backwards , and reduces the vertical oscillatory movement at the centre of gravity for a smooth and economical walk.



Polyaxial knee with carbon chassis and pneumatic control of the swing phase. Its preflexion is adjustable in its range of movement and resistance.


3R60 (Otto Bock)

Polyaxial knee with a hydraulic swing phase. Its preflexion is provided by the EBS system with adjustable resistance as a function of patient weight. It has the characteristic of pushing back the ICR during its crush, by changing the geometry of the rods, and greatly increases the safety of the stance phase. Very easy to use, it is appreciated by patients of moderate activity, it is also suitable for heavy patients. There is a lighter version, as well as for a long stump (3R60-KD).



Polyaxial knee and controllable hydraulic swing phase. The flexional resistance can be adjusted separately for two ranges of flexion (0 to 30 ° and above 30 °) allowing for different walking speeds. The recall to extension is optional.
Its complex 7-axis geometry allows for a preflexion adjustable in its range of movement and its resistance by a choice of rubber shock absorbers, and locking is activated through its central posterior rod. The lock is automatically disabled when under pressure at the front of the foot in the late stance phase.

This knee is extremely safe. Its small size under the socket allows for quite long stumps.
There is an enhanced "high activity" version for dynamic patients.
